Costa Rica
Volcanoes, jungles, beaches, oceans and rivers. Costa Rica is a paradise on Earth where the most pristine and wild nature manifests at its best. In this small country bathed by two oceans, at every step the traveler is in one of its national parks and biological reserves. And that’s because it could be said that the whole country is a large national park. Costa Rica proudly holds the world record for the greatest biodiversity per square kilometer of territory. More than 10,000 species of plants grow in its forests, which are home to 1,000 species of orchids. Also hosts 232 species of mammals, 183 of amphibians, 258 of reptiles, and countless species of invertebrates, as well as Costa Rica is “the country of butterflies”.
In this gallery I intend to show only a small sample, a tiny sample, of the great natural variety in this lucky country. Particularly its fauna. Primates, turtles, iguanas, sloths, crocodiles, poisonous snakes, friendly amphibians, birds of prey, or fast hummingbirds, are just some examples of what can be easily seen (and not so easily) in just a few days. I hope you enjoy it, I already did. Pura Vida.
