Gold jewelry. Like all wild orchids in the PRSE of Madrid, Ophrys lutea offers a very tiny flowers, and only briefly for a few weeks a year, so one must be very aware to find them. In addition, this species grows only in a few highly localized forest stands.

Ophrys speculum. For this species, I wanted to take a picture with the strong midday light, using no diffuser, and a little out of focus, in order to evoke the way this flower reflects sunlight to attract pollinating insects.
